Juzo Okita’s Quote
Japanese: 地球か…何もかもみな懐かしい。
Romaji: chikyuu ka… nanimokamo mina natsukashii.
English: Earth… Everything makes me feel nostalgic.
Analysis
地球 means “Earth”.
か: As you know, the sentence ending particle か is used for questions such as おいしいですか? meaning “Is it delicious?”, but this か is used when you want to make yourself aware of something. For example, when you are up late, you would say そろそろ寝る時間か to make yourself aware that it’s about time for bed. So in this scene, Juzo is making himself aware of Earth by saying 地球か.
何もかも means “anything and everything”. It can be used by itself but it’s often used to emphasise the following word which has a meaning of “everything” such as 全部, すべて and みんな. In this sentence, it’s followed by みな which is the formal version of みんな. So 何もかもみな means “everything” with a strong nuance.
懐かしい means “nostalgic”. The subject is usually something that makes you feel nostalgic.
