• 泳およぐ – to swim
• 行いく – to go (泳およぎに行いく – go swimming)
• ある時とき – one time
• ゆっくり- slowly
• 背せ泳およぎ – backstroke
• クロール – freestyle
• 後あとを追おう- to follow someone
• 追おいつく – to catch up
• 気きづく – to notice
• 追おい抜ぬく – to overtake
• 追おい抜ぬかれまいと – not to be overtaken
• 腕うで – arm
• 高速こうそく回転かいてん – high speed rotation
• させる (causative form of する) – to have something done
• スピードアップする – to speed up
• どんだけ (broken version of どれだけ) – how much, how far…? (used when you’re surprised)
• 必死ひっし – desperate
• noun/na-adj + なの？ – are you/is it…? (feminine way to say なんだ)
